life lessons from toddlersWe are busy teaching our children ABCs, manners, and right from wrong, while they each us a thing or 2 too! Of course they teach us about patience and unconditional love, but they’ve also taught us a few hard lessons. After we’ve finished scratching our heads and wondering how we ended up here, we learned a few lessons…

  1. A king size bed is large enough to accommodate a family of 4 plus the dog.
  2. A singing 4-year-old is louder than even concert you’ve ever attended.
  3. When in doubt always look in the couch cushions
  4. Silence is golden until you have children
  5. There is no such thing as child proofing your house
  6. The best way to get your child’s attention is to sit down.
  7. Never do laundry without first emptying pants pockets.
  8. There is no pain quite like stepping on a Lego barefoot in the middle of the night
  9. Dish liquid and dish washers create a bubble explosion
  10. There is no level of tired that can compare to being tired as a mother.
  11. Toddlers may not be able to eat a meal without spilling it, but they can operate an i-phone.
  12. Few things in life take longer than a child telling a story.
  13. Children can never find their missing shoes, but they can always find the hidden peas in their dinner.

And those are just a few of the things we’ve learned today!
