It may not feel like it if you step outside without a coat, but Spring is just around the corner. That means more fun outdoor activities in the Scenic City for families to enjoy. Each month, NiteOwl Pediatrics presents a Calendar of kid-friendly events in Chattanooga.

In addition to that, we wanted to take a moment to suggest some fun upcoming events and Chattanooga attractions worth adding to your family’s Spring 2019 itinerary:

Enjoy fun Chattanooga events and activities for kids in the Chattanooga area this season. Zooperhero Day at the Chattanooga Zoo is a great place to start!

Zooperhero Day at the Chattanooga Zoo March 2, 2019

Dress up the kids in their favorite superhero costumes and get show up between 10 am-3 PM to get half-off regular zoo admission. We wonder whether the kids or the creatures will get more attention?

The iNaturalist Hike at Reflections Riding Arboretum & Nature Center on March 2, 2019

Get outside! It's good for you. Use the iNaturalist app, which records and maps your observations of the natural world. Come out to explore nature. Learn more and register for the iNaturalist Hike

Baseball Returns with the Chattanooga Lookouts on April 4, 2019

The first home game at AT&T Field is April 4th versus Montgomery, who the Lookouts will play on 5 consecutive nights. If you don’t want to wait that long, “FanFest” will be held rain or shine on Saturday, March 9th, from 10 am-2 pm; the event marks the first day of single-game tickets sales. Tickets for all 70 home games will be available for purchase in person at the Lookouts Ticket Office. Baseball is a great way to spend a spring day and affordable too! Make some memories with the kiddos. Pick the games you want to take your family to this Spring.

Lake Winnepesaukah Reopens for the Season on May 2, 2019

“Lake Winnie” has provided great family fun since first opening in Rossville in 1925. The kids will be worn out from a day packed full of riding rides, and you'll get to enjoy their smiles and laughter. The amusement park opens from 10 am-3 pm on opening day. The schedule extends to beyond just weekends in early June and will last through early August. The Water Park will open June 17th. See the 2019 Park Schedule.

Southern Blooms Festival at Rock City (May 11, 12, 18 & 19, 2019)

It wouldn't be spring without beautiful flowers blooming, now would it? See Rock City in full bloom during this flower festival and gardening event. There's fun for the whole family, including garden tours and kids' activities, plus Southern Blooms dining specials and garden-themed souvenirs!

Riverbend 2019 at Ross’s Landing begins May 29, 2019

Count on good times at this Chattanooga banner event with about 30 acts performing on multiple stages, including headliners Keith Urban, Lionel Richie, Macklemore, Weezer, and many more. Buy tickets early to save on the cost of wristbands.
